چکیده
Abstract The increasing attention over cold recycling technologies as sustainable paving solutions requires a proper characterisation in terms of complex modulus for supporting the pavement design. Among recycled materials, cement bitumen treated materials (CBTM) benefit from presence both bituminous and cementitious binders. This research aims at characterising CBTM mixtures produced with three different gradations, modified emulsion two types cement. measurements were modelled considering usual viscous dissipation behaviour, linked to component mixtures, along time- temperature-independent component. results showed that aggregate skeleton composition fine matrix affected rheological behaviour. Furthermore, role played by aged binder contained reclaimed asphalt was highlighted parameters model.

Deformation Moduli of Asphalt Cement-Treated Granular Materials
Triaxial compression studies of asphalt cement-treated granular materials indicate that each material exhibited a volume decrease during initial phases of stress-strain. The stress-strain curve was nearly linear until the material reached minimum volume, after which curvature increased rapidly. The analysis presented is based on the assumption that the point of minimum volume represents a yield...
متن کاملModeling of Resilient Modulus of Asphalt Concrete Containing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement using Feed-Forward and Generalized Regression Neural Networks
Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is one of the waste materials that highway agencies promote to use in new construction or rehabilitation of highways pavement. Since the use of RAP can affect the resilient modulus and other structural properties of flexible pavement layers, this paper aims to employ two different artificial neural network (ANN) models for modeling and evaluating the effects of ...

Earlier studies have demonstrated the beneficial effects of adding Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) to bitumen emulsion mixtures. These effects were confirmed for some dense graded mixtures based on recipes currently used for hot mix in the UK and being considered for use in cold mix. Laboratory tests included stiffness modulus, resistance to permanent deformation and resistance to fatigue cracki...

a r t i c l e i n f o Cold recycling technique represents the most environmental friendly solution for pavement rehabilitation nowadays. In fact, this technique allows the use of the highest percentage of reclaimed asphalt avoiding the energy consumption related to aggregates heating required by the traditional hot mix asphalt design. The mix design represents a key phase of the cold mix produc...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Mechanical Properties of the cement treated Cold-in-Place Recycled Asphalt Mixtures
Cold-in-place recycling (CIR) is an environmentally sustainable alternative for preservation of asphalt pavements. A major disadvantage of this practice is the lower strength of the cold-in-place mixtures. Addition of cement into this type of mixture is a method for increasing its bearing capacity. The effect of cement content on the mechanical properties of the cold-in-place recycled asphalt m...
